Our alpaca farm is situated in a peaceful valley just outside Ulverston, a market town in South Lakeland in England. We have around eight acres on which we keep our herd of alpacas. At present (Early 2012) we have twenty-seven alpacas.
We started our business in 2006 with a foundation herd of one brown female and two fawn females all with calves at foot and two black males. Since then we have been breeding white alpacas as their fleece can be blended with coloured fleeces to produce attractive blends of yarn, which we are using to produce exclusi ve knitwear. Alpaca fibre is luxuriously soft yet hard wearing and often people can wear alpaca who are allergic to wool.
If you would like to see the alpacas and to feel and try on the knitwear, please contact us by email or telephone to arrange a visit to the farm.
We have a range of knitwear, gloves, mittens, beanie hats and scarves available in stock or can supply these made to your requirements. These would make ideal and unique gifts for loved ones, or maybe to indulge yourself. For details of our products and for ordering please see the Fibre and Fibre Products Page on our website.
